JCB takes centre stage in jaw-dropping calendar
This stunning image of a model apparently being splattered with paint is part of a spectacular new calendar created for JCB. The signature yellow of the Rocester-based company takes centre stage in a series of similar photographs featuring top UK models and set against the industrial backdrop of a JCB factory. The concept was developed by photographer George Bamford, son of JCB chairman Sir Anthony Bamford, and the JCB DesignWorks creative team. The models’ fluid ‘dresses’ were manipulated using computer technology. To order the calendar visit www.jcb.co.uk/about/calendar.aspx.

“SandyFoxy didnt you know that womens lib and political correctness are now out of date? Heavy engineering is a mans world, and this calendar appeals to men, so whats your problem ?”

“"Oi Sarah, get your kit off and drape yourself across that axle."
Sounds ok to me.”

“So JCB have created the classic 'girlie' calendar as seen in its grubby awfulness in garages across the country for the last 60 years.
Seriously? What have half-naked females got to do with heavy engineering? I am a well balanced adult and I enjoy admiring attractive bodies of either gender, but they are in the way. Get the women off the pictures and give the machinery center stage.
It isn't even a choice of handsome guys and attractive women - just women.
A question - how many female apprentices does JCB have? What image of the company is this calendar presenting them with? I'll tell you - OLD FASHIONED. You can just imagine the workshop scene - calendar on the wall. Male apprentice shouts across to a new starter. "Oi Sarah, get your kit off and drape yourself across that axle." Nice.”
