Joseph misses out on chance to face the Scots
JONATHAN Joseph has lost out in his battle for a place in the starting line-up when England begin their RBS 6 Nations campaign on Saturday.
The Derby-born centre was hoping to get the nod to replace Leicester Tigers star Manu Tuilagi in the England team which faces Scotland at Twickenham.

But England head coach Stuart Lancaster named his 23-man match-day squad yesterday and will consider giving uncapped Gloucester centre Billy Twelvetrees his international debut instead, with Joseph returning to his club, London Irish.
"We've had to make some tough calls with a lot of competition for places," said Lancaster.

"The players' attitude and application in training has been first rate and we know those going back to their clubs and playing in the LV= Cup will be pushing hard for contention for the Ireland match."
Saracens wing David Strettle has also been included in the squad, which means no place for Northampton full-back Ben Foden.
Twelvetrees is set to start in a reshuffled midfield, coming in at inside centre, with Brad Barritt likely to be at number 13, where he won his first two Test appearances in last year's Six Nations.
