Jury out in case of tragic tot Riley Pettipierre
A JURY in the case of a couple who are accused of the manslaughter of their son who died after drinking methadone is now deliberating its verdict.
Sally Dent, 33, and Shaun Binfield, 45, of Kilbourne Road, Belper, deny the manslaughter of their two-year-old boy Riley Pettipierre, who died after drinking Dent’s methadone from a child’s beaker on March 13 last year.

Dent, also denies cruelty to a child under 16 – it is alleged she failed to keep Riley away from class A drugs other than on the occasion of March 13.
