Kevin Kilbane retires from professional football
KEVIN Kilbane has retired from professional football.
The 35-year-old Coventry City captain had not played since October 23.

Kilbane, a midfielder or defender, made 614 appearances in his career and 10 of those came for Derby County during a loan spell from Hull City last season.
He started last season as left-back in Derby's team when the Rams made their best start to a league season in 106 years. His one goal for the club came in a 3-0 home victory over Doncaster Rovers.

His other clubs have been Preston, West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland, Everton, Wigan, Hull and Huddersfield.
He also won 110 caps for the Republic of Ireland.
Derby midfielder James Bailey helped Coventry to a 5-1 home victory over Walsall on Saturday but there was no place in the 18 for striker Callum Ball.
Both players are on loan with the Sky Blues.
Another loanee, Valentin Gjokaj, was an unused substitute for Carlisle United in their 3-1 home defeat by Sheffield United.
