LEARN WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY
THE Derby Telegraph is hoping to reach thousands of readers with its Save a Life Campaign.
Over the coming months, we will be publishing a series of articles looking at how you can become a life-saver.
This includes teaming up with St John Ambulance to offer our readers the chance to learn first aid at a discounted rate. We have already been encouraging readers to give blood and will later be asking them to sign up to the National Organ donor register.
St John Ambulance said new research shows up to 140,000 people in England and Wales die each year in situations where first aid could have helped save their lives.
There are two courses on offer at a lower-rate price. These are: Essential First Aid – a two-hour course which includes hands-on demonstrations of how to deal with a range of emergency situations, such as choking, severe bleeding and chest pains, as well as resuscitation.
The second course is Essential First Aid, All Ages – a three-hour course looking at emergency situations involving babies and older children, as well as adults.
By using our voucher, prices have been discounted to £10 and £15 respectively – with fees normally starting at £25.

Mention your voucher when booking and then take it along to the course.
