Late leveller denies Mickleover three points at Sheffield
MICKLEOVER Sports were denied the lift of an away Evo-Stik Division One South victory by a late leveller in their game at Sheffield.
With neither side currently in the best of form, the contest was never likely to be a classic but Sports, although they went behind, bossed the first 45 minutes.
Sheffield took the lead with a fluke goal from Chris Adam after 14 minutes as his deep cross beat everybody.
But Mickleover pulled level when a Robert Ritchie-Smith corner was headed powerfully home by Ellis Storey in the 27th minute.

Sports went ahead three minutes later when Alex Steadman drove through into the box and fired home with a low shot.
The away side continued to dominate but were unable to extend their lead, with the best move involving Ritchie-Smith and Eric Graves but failing to produce a finish.
They were unable to maintain their momentum in the second half and had to defend for long periods.
Sports seemed to have weathered the storm but elected to make a change with five minutes remaining as striker Sam Griffiths was replaced by defender Tom Land.
Almost immediately, Sheffield scored what proved to be the final goal of the night when Vill Powell found the net with an overhead kick, though there were suggestions of an offside which wasn't given.
