Law looks to free up cash ahead of transfer window
ALFRETON Town manager Nicky Law says he could send some players out on loan to allow him to do some business in the January transfer window.
The Reds boss bolstered his squad as he prepared for a busy December but two postponements in the space of seven days has left him a frustrated figure.
Alfreton's Derbyshire Senior Cup tie against holders Buxton was called off due to a frozen pitch at the Impact Arena in midweek
Law's men are without a game this weekend, which means they will have played only once since their FA Cup exit at the hands of Leyton Orient at the start of the month by the time they take on Cambridge United at home on Tuesday night.

"We are coming up to a stage this weekend where it is only just over two weeks until the transfer window opens," said the manager.
"The idea of bulking the squad up recently was for all the games we had scheduled for this month but the postponements and two cup exits have put paid to the planned intensity.
"It is a possibility that we might get a couple of players out on loan soon to free some money up.
"The Buxton postponement was a bit of a blow because we were going to give people like Phil Barnes, Anton Brown, Adam Quinn, Simon Russell, Gavan Holohan and quite a few others a full 90 minutes run out.
"It would have aided our pre-Christmas preparation no end but there is nothing much we can do about it.
"We will look to get an 11 v 11 game sorted on Saturday but we will have to wait and see if the forecast of warmer weather comes off."
Alfreton have extended the loan of midfielder Matty Harriott from Sheffield United for a further month.
But striker Anthony Wilson has left the club to join North Ferriby United for an undisclosed fee.
Wilson recently completed a month's loan with the Evo-Stik League Premier Division side.
The 25-year-old made 77 appearances for the Reds, scoring 20 goals, after signing from Belper Town in May 2010.
Alfreton's home game against Wrexham, which was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch last week, has been rearranged for Tuesday, January 8 (7.45pm).
And the Buxton game will now be played on Tuesday, January 15 (7.45pm).
Meanwhile, the Reds' Blue Square Bet Premier home fixture against Mansfield Town on New Year's Day has been made all-ticket.
