Lawyer taken on in employment role
A BURTON legal firm has recruited an extra employment lawyer to help deal with issues surrounding a new raft of employment legislation.
Samantha Cotter has joined Else Solicitors, based at First Avenue at the Centrum 100 business park.

Lawyer Samantha Cotter has joined Else Solicitors, in Burton.
She started her legal career in Nottingham four years ago before relocating to Walsall and qualifying in 2011. In her new role, she will work alongside employment partner Paul Dodds.
Miss Cotter has experience providing advice in respect to recruitment, employment contracts, disciplinary matters and advice on employment law in relations to business sales.

She can also represent clients at employment tribunals and deal with cases up to the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal.
She said: "In larger firms, employment solicitors tend to concentrate on either the side of the employer or the side of the employee, but I'm quite happy to represent either. It gives us an insight into how the other side's mind is working which can help in future cases."
