THE final weekend of the Derbyshire County League Division One season has been moved to Sunday, September 14 after the league's representative side reached the final of the Northern Rock LCC Cedric Rhoades Trophy.

They will be away to the Shropshire County League in the final on Sunday, September 7 – which was to have been the last day of the league season.

In their semi-final on Sunday, the County League won a high-scoring thriller against the Bassetlaw League at Cuckney.

Rolls-Royce's Muhammed Sultan hit an unbeaten 110 in his side's 267-6 in their 45 overs.

With Nottinghamshire's Paul Franks in their side, the Bassetlaw made a good attempt at the chase.

Franks made 112 but, with Joe Greenhalgh taking 4-73, they were stopped 20 runs short on 247-7.
