A LIFT for the disabled will be installed at an NHS office building.

Planning officers at Derby City Council have given the go-ahead to an application to build a lift shaft on the site of Kings-way Hospital. The lift will be on the outside of a building owned by Derbyshire Mental Health Services NHS Trust.

The council has granted permission on the condition that the trust submits details of the building materials and that they complement the style and character of the office.
