Looking grim for Elvaston, Ticknall
ELVASTON are 27 points away from safety going into the final weekend of the Beechwood Derbyshire Premier League season after their defeat to Chesterfield on Saturday.
And Ticknall are another 13 points back in bottom place after losing to Alvaston & Boulton.
Ticknall's 246-7, in which Graham Chamberlain and Ryan Cowley hit half-centuries, looked a good total but they caught Anthony Woolley on a good day and he followed his three wickets with an unbeaten 111, accompanied by David Lewis on 62 not out as they closed out a six-wicket win.
Dunstall are the team still nervously looking over their shoulders at the bottom two after a losing draw against Spondon, who racked up 260-4. Joe Ashdown making 71 not out.
Ashdown then took 4-51 as Dunstall were kept to 211-6.
Wayne White took 6-40 as Ilkeston Rutland bowled out Quarndon for 135 on their way to a four-wicket victory and Lullington Park made their Premier League place safe with a win over Alfreton.
Alfreton made 176 before Lullington edged past the target with seven wickets down.
