ON A MISSION WITH UKTI
UK Trade and Investment has organised a number of trade missions to India for UK firms to discover the potential for business in one of the world's most populous countries.
Between April 8 and April 12 this year, a mission will take in Kochi, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, also known as Calcutta.
This mission will focus on the nation's desire to upgrade its infrastructure.
The Indian government is planning to spend £600 billion on urban transport systems, low-cost housing, water supply, sewerage and waste management.
The deadline for registering for this trip is Friday.
Power generation in India is a hugely important issue as the nation's energy use largely exceeds supply.
To introduce UK firms to the opportunities available in this sector, UK Trade and Investment has organised what it is calling the Mega Power Mission to India.
Running from May 6 to May 8, it will coincide with the Power-Gen India and Central Asia Conference and Exhibition, taking place in Mumbai.
The biggest global names in the power generation industry, representing 43 different countries, will be exhibiting.
The trade mission will also include a trip to New Delhi.
