Man, 36, in hospital with puncture wounds after Normanton assault
A 36-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital with puncture wounds after an assault in Normanton.
At 11.37pm last night, officers were called to a report that a man had been assaulted in Normanton Road, outside the Kurdistan Market shop.
The man had suffered a puncture wound to his back and arm and cuts his face and head. He was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding. He suffered cuts to his face and head and was taken to Queen’s Hospital in Burton but has now been discharged. He remains in custody and is being questioned.
