Man, 39, fights for life after alleged attack at Job Centre
A 39-YEAR-OLD is fighting for his life in hospital after an alleged assault in a Job Centre.
Police were called to the Job Centre, in King Street, Alfreton, at about 10am yesterday, following reports of an altercation.

Anyone with information about the assault should call Amber Valley CID on 101.
A 39-year-old man suffered serious injuries during the incident and was taken by paramedics to King's Mill Hospital.
He was later transferred to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he remained in a critical but stable condition.

A 24-year-old man, who is known to the victim, has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
A Department for Work and Pensions spokesman said the incident was being handled by the police.
