Ilkeston shopkeeper 'stabbed 20 times' says witness
A 61-YEAR-OLD shopkeeper, the victim of an attack in his home next to his shop on Monday, was stabbed multiple times, claims a witness.
The witness said he was told the man was stabbed around 20 times during an attempted robbery.

The victim, named locally as Pete Eizens, is currently stable in hospital.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the attack.

It happened at about 7.55am at Sue’s Off Licence on the corner of John Street.
The scene was cordoned off by police and there were a number of officers present, including scientific support at the scene.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone with information about the incident.
The injured man was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham, where he remains in a stable condition, according to officers.
The witness said: "We could see a few on him, there was a lot of blood."
