Man left with broken nose after door-step attack by gang in Heanor
A 24-year-old man needed hospital treatment after being attacked by a gang of youths outside his house.
The victim was at home in Brockhall Rise, Heanor, when he heard banging on his front door.

He opened the door to see a group of five youths walking away from the door. When he asked them what they were doing they became aggressive and began shouting at him.
He tried to calm them down but was dragged to the floor and kicked and punched repeatedly until he lost consciousness.

The victim suffered a broken nose, swelling and cuts to his face and deep cuts to both elbows. He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre where he received treatment for his injuries.
The gang were all white and around 17 to 20-years-old and all wore casual clothing.
The incident happened between 11.30pm on Friday and 12.15am on Saturday.
At around 11.30pm on Friday a group of youths banged on the door of a house on Westfield Avenue, Heanor.
They also threw a rock at a car parked on the road and caused minor damage to a garden.
Police believe the incidents are linked and would like to speak to anyone who saw the assault take place or saw this group of youths acting suspiciously in the area.
