Man punched and robbed as he walked along road
Detectives are appealing for information after a man was robbed by two men.
The victim was walking along Blacksmiths Lane in Swadlincote when a car pulled up alongside him and a man got out.
The man asked the victim for money and punched him when he said no, causing him to fall to the floor.
The offender then held the victim to the floor while a second man got out of the car and searched his pockets.
They stole a black leather wallet containing cash and bank cards before fleeing in the car along High Street.
The incident happened at around 1am on Saturday, February 4.
The first man is described as white, in his late 20s, of stocky build, around 5ft 7in tall with short dark hair.
The second man was around 6ft tall, of skinny build and wearing a light grey beanie hat.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Swadlincote CID on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously.

“Sandy fox if that person in the car wanted direction's there would be no need to get out of the car. Nicky-Gregory i have had a wonderful up bringing,lots of love and care from family and friends. as in the answer above if a person pulls up beside you and get out that is classed as a threat to your personal space, and back then before this stupid human rights law which just lately is only for the benefit of serial criminals and terrorists, Law abiding citizens could act without fear of prosecution and these tooled up morons knew where they stood.”

“When i grew up i was told punch 1st then ring the police AND ambulance. Why don't people do this anymore??????? 99% of the time these days if anybody interacts with you especially getting out of a car and you don't know them, its either your wallet or phone that they want so man up and take them on.”
