UPDATED: Man stabbed in Long Eaton

A 21-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed in Long Eaton last night.

Police were called to Cranmer Street at 9.10pm where they found a male on the pavement with stab wounds.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where he underwent surgery.

He is now in a stable condition in a non-surgical ward.

A 41-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the offence.

A police spokesman said: "The man was stabbed in the stomach area while in a flat.

"By the time officers arrived, he was lying on the pavement in the street.

"The victim was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for surgery and is now in a stable condition.

"A 41-year-old woman was arrested nearby a short while later and detectives have recovered the knife."
