A MAN was stuck in a lift for almost three hours at an office block in Chellaston.

It took a lift engineer 45 minutes to release the man after arriving at Bezant House, in Bradgate Park View, two hours after fire crews were called to the site at 4pm on Friday.

A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said the lift engineer came from Sheffield and had been delayed in heavy traffic. The man was finally released at 6.40pm.
