MATLOCK Town Youth closed the gap on the top three with a narrow win over rivals Laburnum Saints.

Tom Mitchell scored the only goal of the game for Matlock.

Black Hippo started their home game against Ashbourne with only nine players – and things didn’t get any better as they were beaten 3-0 by their visitors.

Riddings Rovers took three more points by beating Tibshelf Community 4-1.

Mark Turner scored twice with Andrew Bonser and Shane Buckerfield netting the others.
