Meetings to fight crime
NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch coordinators from three city suburbs are to join forces at new quarterly meetings.
Derbyshire police has invited coordinators from Allestree, Mackworth and Darley Abbey to the meetings, which are designed to cut crime.
The first one is on Wednesday at Haslam's, in Haslam's Lane, Darley Abbey, from 7pm.
Sergeant Rachel Frost, who looks after the three Safer Neighbourhood teams, said: "The aim of the meeting is to have an informal discussion with our local officers and to raise any issues or concerns.
"This will be fed back into the Neighbourhood Forum and action will take place where priorities are identified."
The meetings will be held at a different location every three months.

“Well done,Sergeant Rachel Frost lets have more of these meetings, I attend the NH Forums and they are too political , too many Action groups dominating the floor, not seen any results yet or difference the forums make. Good idea for NHW coordinators to able to meet up ,raise their concerns, I am grateful for this opportunity to meet the police and other co-ordinators.”
