Met police arrest Burton Albion defender over alleged rape
BURTON Albion defender Patrick Ada has been arrested by London police on suspicion of rape.
The Metropolitan police confirmed they had arrested a 27-year-old man following an alleged incident yesterday.
And, in a statement from the club last night, a spokesman said: "Burton Albion can confirm that current first-team squad member Patrick Ada has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police in connection to an alleged incident which took place on Thursday.
"At this time, Burton Albion will be making no further comment on this matter."

A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan police said: "We are investigating an allegation of rape that's alleged to have taken place in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"A 27-year-old man was arrested on Thursday afternoon and is currently in custody."
The police spokeswoman confirmed the man had been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Ada signed for Burton last month after being released by Kilmarnock. He has also played for Histon and Crewe Alexandra.
