A PANTOMIME in the summer? Unusual to say the least, but that's what Hilton Amateur Theatrical Society (affectionately known as HATS) are presenting.

As part of their 20th anniversary celebrations, HATS are going to be performing a Shakespeare classic with a twist: A Midsummer Night's Dream – The Panto!

Since forming in 1989, HATS have been putting on two shows a year, one in January, one in June. This year's production has been billed as a show the whole family can enjoy, with a bit of culture thrown in.

In this version, the author has lost all inspiration until Fairy Godfather Falstaff appears in a puff of smoke to help him.

Directed by Mike Sacker, the panto can be seen tonight and tomorrow at 7.30pm as well as in matinee tomorrow at 2.30pm.

It takes place at Hilton Village Hall. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £5 for children and concessions.

They are available from the HATS box office on 01283 814254.
