“Yet again we loan out a good player (Pearson), which has been the case this season. What is the point to loaning in england youngsters and then loaning out our own england youngsters? Surely a derby county accedmy player will want the best for derby county not a geordie or a cockney!! Quiet Clough needs to be start being more like his father and start standing up to the Board!”

“duncanjwitham
We are Never linked with anyone! Addison deserves a chance, Robbie the Clown Savage was given so long, NC just not get the most out of players, Addison has been loaned out twice, you never get the most out of players doing that, he is 23, maybe for amonth to get fit. Lee Croft, Tomas Cwyka, Ben Davies just to mention a few have been treated poorly at best”

“Duncan, you make a fair point. I think, however, the frustration for many is two fold - firstly, it is announced on the same day that Brayford is confirmed out for 6 weeks and secondly that Addison has not been given a chance to re-establish himself in the team. Of course, we don't know the attitude demonstrated in training but surely having someone like Addison around for the remainder of the season - even if its on the bench to shore up defence in the last 10 mins of a game is preferable to not having him available? As I have said before I believe that the manager needs to manage his players to get the best out of them - and I do not see this has happened with too many players at Derby over the last two or three seasons.”

“For anyone criticising this decision, just ask yourself this: if we were linked with signing a player who had spent 6 months at Barnsley and struggled to get in their team, and we knew for a fact wasn't wanted by any other team in the championship, would you be happy about signing him, or would you be slating Clough for signing another rubbish player?”

“the rubbish about not having any wage budget to pay green - surely if you've got rid of several over christmas this should provide a level of funding??
how many players outside of green do we have left who will be on anything but the peanuts that GSE have been paying, how can we not have the money with the fan base that we have to not be able to compete financially with the likes of Swansea, Stoke or Norwich??
As for sending addison out on loan I simply dont buy that he's not the player he was, does no-one remember the performance last year that he put in on Sky Sports, against who I dont remember, which was a heroic performance on one leg. The commitment alone to DCFC is worth rewarding him with his rightful place on the bench at least, if not straight into the team.
In the last few weeks and over this season I had begun to grudgingly respect the job NC was doing, but this decision coupled with our regular inconsistency formed by having a small squad of similar players relying on special performances from Ward, Davies or Tyson and good defence is becoming more depressing by the day. NC needs to look at himself and if he cant do the job he wants because of the board then he needs to take some action, rather than simply accepting the mess that its becoming. UTR!!”

“Ladies and gentlemen, and anyone that's ever seen any of my posts before (ibelieveido knows) will know that the earlier post from me was a deliberate troll. It was to show how these boards, for all clubs, can create such strong opinions, both positive and negative, in such a short space of time. In times past it was the two hours in the pub before kick off where the feelings were surfaced and opinions swapped. Later this was promulgated by the Radio Derby phone in, of which I have taken part on many occasions. Now, there is an unstoppable momentum, not just in football, but in society, where instant vilification and gratification can be achieved through "sound bites", published through the medium of IT - Twitter being the most powerful and demonstrable of these tools. So apologies to anyone who took offence to the post, it was merely an exercise, the proof being when the word "bullying" appeared in one of the responses - bullying being something that imo happens too often in many of the entries I read. I wish only good will to all and in truth my hope is success for everything associated with the Rams.”

“So our Nigel has done it yet again and taken the amazing decision that Buxton is ahead of Addison in the pecking order... priceless! This decision has nothing to do with the board or wages... it is down to an inexperienced and somewhat arrogant manager who would fall out with his own shadow if he could.
We sit directly behind the dugout and can see and hear Nigel and his so called assistant hearl abuse at his players for making the most simple of errors... even the poor old ballboy kops it on a regular basis.
It seems they have a very poor managment style and have an uncanny habit of knocking every bit of confidence out of players, who are already average at best. Nigel is not the right man and i look forward to the day we get and experienced man in charge and get rid of the apprentice.
No doubt i will now get the dreaded response from ibelieveido ido ido ido (was that an Abba song) oh well no probs. But before you pass your usual judgement... just let me say in the 40 years i have supported Derby i have never been so fed up with the current situation.
Unfortunately i am not by myself and instead of going along to enjoy the match and Derby playing well... we all end up shaking our heads in disbelief and wondering why things are so bad at the moment. Come on ido ido ido, It is not good at the moment and has not been for the last few years... come on admit it.. you know you want to!”
