DERBY County manager Nigel Clough was satisfied with a point against Sheffield Wednesday - despite seeing his side let a two-goal lead slip away at Hillsborough.

Jeff Hendrick rounded off a fine team move to put the Rams ahead after 23 minutes and Jamie Ward converted a penalty early in the second half after he had been fouled by Miguel Llera.

But the Owls hit back immediately with goals from Michail Antonio and Llera as the game ended 2-2.

"We were pleased to get a point away from home and to score another two goals on the back of the three last week," said Clough.

"I was happy with the performance and certainly with the way we played in the first half.

“Our first goal was as good a team goal as you’ll see. It started in our own half, with the midfielders involved and the ball going to the striker’s feet, with lots of movement off the ball and a lovely finish as well.

“I don’t think there were too many arguments about the penalty. I didn’t see one player or even a member of their staff arguing with that one.

“It was lovely to get a two-goal lead but, the young side we are, we’ve got to learn to look after it for five or 10 minutes.

“You don’t necessarily have to do much – you just have to stop them getting back in the game. It’s a learning process."
