Moon concert from pupils and orchestra
PUPILS from two Derbyshire schools will be working with the Sinfonia Viva orchestra to celebrate the county's connections with the moon.
Students from John Flamsteed Community School and Creswell Junior School will be part of the East Midlands-based orchestra's spring residency.
They will get the chance to work with Viva workshop leaders James Redwood and Jack Ross, as well as composer Anna Meredith.
They will work on a project called "Moon", which will explore links between music, science, space and time as well as the 300th anniversary of Derby clock maker and founder of the Lunar Society John Whitehurst.
