Motorist held after car strikes house
A SUSPECTED drink-driver was arrested after his car crashed into the side of a house.
The accident happened in Swarkestone Road, Swarkestone, at 12.30am on Sunday.
Police said the 43-year-old motorist from Derby was driving a Fiat Marea.
A spokesman said: "The accident was reported by the householder who said that he got up to investigate, only to find the car in the house and the vehicle was stuck.
"Officers arrested the motorist on suspicion of drink-driving and he has been bailed."
