Moxey hoping fans will stick with the Rams
DEAN Moxey hopes the Derby County fans will stick with the team as they bid to recover from their latest setback on the road.
The Rams lost 2-0 at Middlesbrough on Tuesday night and have now taken only two points away from home this season.
-

On Saturday, they return to Pride Park, where Derby have won four out of six games, to face Queens Park Rangers.
They went into their last home outing with a point to prove following a midweek 6-1 drubbing at Cardiff City.
And Nigel Clough's side responded well to beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 in front of more than 30,000 people.
Moxey is hoping for a similar turn-out – and outcome – this weekend.
"The fans are fantastic and they come out in their numbers," said the 23-year-old left-back.
"After we lost 6-1 at Cardiff, we had 30,000 turn up for the next home match to cheer us on. Hopefully, we can get something like that again.
"We've got to put the last match to bed, not think about it too much and move on to the QPR game.
"Hopefully, we can bounce back again but we don't want to keep doing that. We want to play well in every game.
"Unfortunately, we weren't at our best on Tuesday night and we need to put that right.
"Maybe we are putting more pressure on ourselves at home. I've not really thought about it.
"Obviously, we're doing well at home and not so well away from home. We've got to change that."
Saturday's game, which kicks off at 5.30pm, will be televised live on the BBC.
"It's just another game," said Moxey. "Obviously, we know it's on TV but we can't think about that.
"We've just got to go out there and play – hopefully better than we did at Middlesbrough.
"We've got to do it for ourselves and the fans, not just because it's on TV."
QPR have scored eight goals in their last two games and lie 10th in the Championship, only four points off the top.
"They're not a bad team," added Moxey. "Every team in this division can do a job. Barnsley showed that when they were bottom of the league and they beat us at our place."
Moxey was "massively disappointed" with the result and performance at Middlesbrough, when Adam Johnson scored twice, including a penalty, to secure victory for the home side.
"It was not the best performance from us," said Moxey. "Middlesbrough are not a bad team but we felt we could have got something from the game.
"But we conceded two stupid goals, which have cost us again.
"We had a couple of chances when it was 1-0 but we didn't take them. We're all just massively disappointed.
"We came out well for 10 or 15 minutes after the break but when the second goal went in, that killed us, really.
"You could see the heads go down – it shouldn't happen but it did. Now we need to get the three points on Saturday."
Derby's cause was not helped by early injuries to Kris Commons and Jay McEveley but Moxey is not using this as an excuse.
"It was disappointing to lose two players so early on to injury but that's football," he said. "Sometimes you get injuries and you've got to roll with it.
"We have had a lot of injuries but we can't use that as an excuse. We've got 11 players on the pitch who are out there to do a job – but we didn't do that against Middlesbrough."

“GAZ sorry that you feel I am an embarrassment, Been there done it all, And I mean done it all, from 1967 to 2009, I may right a book one day called " A true Derby LAD his story" It will make a good read, If you go to a restaurant and get a bad meal do you go back, If a mechanic rips you off do you use him again, If you had a suit made and it is of poor quality do you buy it, I guess the answer to all 3 would be no, But you truely have only one football club in life, I would guess you sit in the East Stand proberbly at the back and are very vocal with your support, Also I would bet that after most games you critisise those that have performed on the pitch, Unless of course you have rose tinted glasses and there are some that have, Their called Blind Faithers, They will follow DCFC to the ends of the earth and will notsay a bad word against his team, Well I used to be one of those some 3-4 years ago, I see those that are in the pay of DCFC are no longer interested in the support only the wage that they get, I decided that what I was seing and no longer wanted to be part of, You GAZ may one day do as I have done, AND SAY I'VE HAD ENOUGH.
enjoy saturdays game.”

“Right,i have posted some micky taking posts on here, but for once i shall be serious.Remember last season when our lot had a bench full of youth/academy players against your lot at the city ground, christ we even ended up with big wes up front lol,we have been there.We/i were subject to endless ridicule when we were down in league1,i work in derby, imagine the stick i have took over the recent years, but eh i still & did go,you derby fans(termed loosely)who say i aint going no more etc etc ought to be ashamed of yourselves!,i can only imagine those who are jumping ship only joined on the premiership bandwagon, talk about rats deserting a sinking ship!!.I have always said your club would not have got the crowds we did in league1,especially in the 2nd year, some comments othis site only reinforce that opinion,i enjoy the banter at work & believe it or believe it not i hope you stay up,to carry on that banter, always assuming we dont go up,which incidentally i feel we have a genuine real chance of doing so,we certainly have the money to reasonably compete if we do so,certainly with all bar the big4/5 in the prem, but eh we will see, anyway stick with your club, try being a fan of chester city, says it all really, dont you think!.”

“Had enough, I disagree with you, with no axe to grind I'm a Red, we had complete dross in the 3rd tier for nearly 3 yrs, but still stuck with it, its your badge you should be proud of, not the people that stitch it on, all is not lost, look at Forest.”

“I'm expecting a phone call from the Telegraph today ahead of tomorrow's main article, headlined 'Matt hopes the players pull their fingers out their holes and start showing some pride in the shirt'
Regards Bywater, he's a disaster waiting to happen and desperately needs some proper competition for his place. That said, so do most of the players.
And finally on the topic of fans and support etc lets put it in perspective. It was a Tuesday night, the game was a good 3 hours away and the last Tuesday night game we had we lost 6-1. Lets be honest, can you blame fans for not forking out £50 to go?! And before people bleat about me as a part time fan, I am a season ticket holder and have attended several away games this season including midweek games. However until the players show some sign of backbone and pride, I shalln't be forking out to travel to watch them.”

“After we played Palace last April and losing 1-0 against 10 men and playing woefull, We still applauded the team off the pitch(still don't know why)one player came over and applauded us, ONE PLAYER!!, that in my book speaks volumes about the caliber of players today, Having spent close on £200 for the day I was totally hacked off with DCFC, So decided that after going to around 1200 games involving DCFC I decided that enough is enough, My money stayed in the bank Just like GSEs does, I've had several calls from the club to re-purchase our 2 season tickets and they have been told where to get off, Loyalty is to your family, Stupidity is to your club, All supporters are treated as ATMs, And treated shabbily by those that are in power, DCFC will allways be my team, But the heart aint in it any more.”

“I think Ian there are more problems than just the defence,
A non creative midfield and punchless attack come to mind,The thought of giving Clough more money to waste in januaryis alarming.
We have gone two steps back from an already dire position since he took over.”
