Multi-million pound Derbyshire care home set to open doors
A £20 MILLION development for older people in Swadlincote will be officially opened on Wednesday. (6)
The Oakland Village complex, in Hall Farm Road, combines apartments purpose-built for people aged over 55 with 24/7 on-site care for residents.
It has a community care centre complete with 16 long-term residential care beds for older people, including those with dementia, and 16 short-term residential care beds to offer respite care and rehabilitation.
There are also a range of facilities including a shop, restaurant, pub and gym.
