THE winners have been announced following the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band's solo, duet and quartet contest.

Graham Jacklin was the adjudicator for the event, held at the club's home in Salisbury Street.

The winner of the Training Band Beginners' Solo was William Dennis, while second place went to Oliver White and joint third went to Hannah Dennis and Ben White.

Taking the training band solo title was Rachel Onions, with Tamara Mohamed second and Stuart Wakefield third.

Rachel also won the training band duet section with Natalie Colegate, while Zoe Corden, also with Natalie, came second and Adele Carter, again with Natalie, were third.

The open quartet category was won by Fred Aram, Ben Allen, Adele Carter and Sarah Measures.

Second went to Pete Thomas, Carol Thomas, Helen Driscoll and Robert Stansfield, with James Dennis, Lewis Blackburn, William Dennis and Hannah Dennis in third place.

The open duet title was won by Rachel Onions and Melissa Ramplin. Second went to James Dennis and Lewis Blackburn and third was taken by Lisa Balsom and Deborah Redpath. Victor Henton was the winner of the open solo category, with the runner-up James Dennis and Zoe Corden third.

Ben Allen took the junior solo title and the special adjudicator's award for most potential went to Lewis Blackburn.
