RESIDENTS concerned residents about changes in the NHS have organised a public meeting to discuss it.

From April, doctors will pay for and manage local health services as part of nationwide reforms, with four GP-led groups set up in Derbyshire.

But people in Wirksworth are worried that the changes will lead to the NHS becoming privatised.

They have invited Dr Ian Lawrence – a member of the NHS Southern Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group, one of the groups – to speak at the meeting next Monday, at Wirksworth Town Hall from 7.30pm.
