Nailers end Linnets' home run
STUNNING strikes from Mark Ward and Shaun Tuton helped Belper Town inflict a first Evo-Stik Division One South home defeat of the season on second-placed King's Lynn Town.
An impressive first-half performance set the tone for the Nailers and Richard Stirrup's low drive, inches wide, almost gave them the lead before Tuton set the game alight in the 21st minute.
He blasted a superb dipping volley over goalkeeper Danny Gay from just outside the penalty area and, two minutes later, Ward executed a delightful chip over the keeper to stun the Linnets.
In the 77th minute, Russ Dunkley's left-foot shot gave King's Lynn a lifeline but, though a Russ Dunkley volley struck the woodwork, Belper held on for the victory.
