A FREE course to boost the confidence and esteem of unemployed men is being run in Derby from next month.

Half of the 20 places on the Navigator course, run by Personal Development Matters, have been taken but people can apply for those remaining.

The course includes one-day workshops each month between March and June, starting on March 25, which will take place at the Friar Gate Studios, Ford Street.

Ashad Iqbal, who is helping to co-ordinate the course, said: "Unemployment and redundancy can hit people very hard and completely destroy their self-esteem."
