New NHS name 'will not cost taxpayer'
A NEW name for a local NHS organisation will not cost the taxpayer any extra money, according to health bosses.
Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust, which oversees local healthcare, has changed its name to NHS Derbyshire County.
But the trust says that all items which are printed with the old name, such as notepaper and signs, will only be replaced when they run out or come to the end of their life.
Chief executive Derek Bray said: "NHS Derbyshire County shows people we are leading the local NHS healthcare in Derbyshire and we buy everything they need from GP surgeries to stop-smoking clinics to community hospitals to accident and emergency departments."
