New clock set to be unveiled at school
A CLOCK designed to celebrate the opening of a rebuilt school will be unveiled at the end of this month.
Former pupils of Noel-Baker Community School decided to raise £4,000 to buy the clock for the school's new building in Alvaston.
They were involved in the design of the timepiece with Smith of Derby and will see their work revealed on Thursday, February 28, at 6pm. Guests will have a 30- minute tour of the school ahead of the unveiling.
The school has been rebuilt on its existing site in Bracknell Drive and opened last September.

“Recognising Derby's history of clock making shows thought - and the idea that students should think about punctuality is also good.”
