DERBYSHIRE Dales District Council has announced the dates for its next round of Area Community Forums.

The first will be held on Monday at the Agricultural Business Centre, Bakewell. There will also be meetings at St Joseph's Community Hall, Matlock, on July 20 and St Oswald's Church Hall, Ashbourne, on July 27. All three events start at 7pm.

The district council leader, Councillor Lewis Rose, said: "This is an opportunity for residents to hear what the district council is doing to combat the effects of the current economic climate."

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending to talk about its achievements last year, including a fall in the number of domestic fires.
