New iPad hits all the right notes for music lover
DERBY Telegraph reader Gavin Jinks says he is chuffed he can listen to his varied music collection on his new iPad after winning the newspaper's latest competition.
The 51-year-old, who said his music collection varied from Andrea Bocelli to the Sex Pistols, said he would use the device to listen to music while on the move.
He won it by reading a question printed in the Derby Telegraph and sending a text message with the correct answer.
Mr Jinks, Kniveton Close, in Derby, said he received a phone call to say he had won the Apple product.

"I couldn't believe it! I thought it was fantastic," he said.
"I entered the competition but I didn't think I would win."
Mr Jinks, who works as a training education officer at Derby City Council, said he would also use the iPad for work.
"I go out of the office quite a lot so I'll be able to use it on the go with reasonable efficiency," he said.
"I've used a tablet computer before but never an iPad.
"I've already had a go on it and it is better than anything I've had before.
"I really like the fact that I can sync my iTunes on my other computer so that I can listen to my music."
The father-of-two added: "My children will be very jealous when they find out I've got an iPad.
"I'd encourage other people to enter the Derby Telegraph competitions.
"If you don't enter, you can't win!"
