New officer's first goal is to get to know community

A NEW police community support officer will be patrolling the streets of Langley Mill.

Emily Stainsby has become the latest member of the local safer neighbourhood policing team.

She joined Derbyshire police as part of the latest recruitment drive which has seen 16 new PCSOs welcomed across the county.

Before joining the police, 19-year-old Emily worked as an outdoor pursuits instructor while she was studying for A Levels in law, business and graphics.
