A TEENAGER has been kicked out of her housing association flat in Derby after a string of complaints from neighbours.

Fed-up tenants reported damage to communal areas, spitting on windows and said Stacey Colbourne's visitors urinated on walls

The 18-year-old was evicted from the property in Trocadero Court, Normanton, after Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court upheld an injunction against her.

Inspector Richard Keene, in charge of policing the area, said his officers were called to her address nine times in October.

He said: "On October 20 we were called to a disturbance. She and partygoers had barricaded themselves inside the property.

"One of the men inside was wanted for failing to appear at court and made threats to kill a policeman.

"On November 10 we received numerous calls about a loud, all-night party."

Metropolitan Housing said other complaints involved graffiti in communal areas as well as damage to a communal door and light fittings.

A spokesman for the housing provider said: "She was causing serious nuisance for neighbours and damaging Metropolitan property."

Sandra Gordon, the anti-social behaviour officer for Metropolitan, said various attempts were made to curb the tenant's behaviour.

Eventually it was decided there was sufficient evidence to take legal action. She said: "We worked with a support service to make sure the tenant would not be homeless and that she would have alternative accommodation after her eviction.

"The decision by the judge was made on these grounds.

"We followed our policies and procedures and tried to help the tenant to sustain her tenancy – offering a floating support service, benefit advice and working with her after-care team at the local council but everything we put in place did not work."

The team tackling the problems included police, residents, local community groups and Metropolitan staff.

Sergeant Dave Kirby, who works in Normanton and Pear Tree, said: "The swift resolution of this issue demonstrates the value of the strong relationship between Derbyshire Constabulary and our partners.

"Metropolitan and ourselves worked closely in this case, sharing information and resources to put an end to serious anti-social behaviour that was significantly affecting the quality of life for local people."

“As iv'e already said, and as everyone knows, the do-gooders of this world have a job to do..i.e. to further the pain and suffering by this kind of scum by placing them next to someone else..as i say, they should be made to go live with them themselves or have them moved next door to them and see how they cope with them..but oh no..they won't do that, but are more than happy to disrupt other people's live's without thinking about it..there just as bad as the scum themselves!!!”

“Every person on the board who came to the decision to relocate her should be made to have her as their neighbours for a year..then see how they feel..oh we know that would never happen, so why does someone else have to endure her when it's obvious it will all start again once this piece of scum settles in to her new surroundings..the do-gooders carn't seem to do enough for the low-life's like her, god help whoever gets her next!!”
