Non-League football: Farsley demise to hit clubs
ALFRETON Town, Ilkeston Town and Eastwood Town could all suffer as a result of Farsley Celtic's imminent expulsion from the Blue Square North.
Celtic have been disbanded after the latest effort to rescue the Yorkshire club failed.
They are expected to be thrown out of the league and their record expunged.
This would hit Alfreton hardest, as they have beaten Farsley twice this season, 3-0 and 6-2.
Ilkeston beat them 1-0 and were due to face them in the return fixture on April 5. Eastwood beat them 2-1 and were scheduled to travel to Throstle Nest on March 27.
Ilkeston boss Kevin Wilson said: "I can't believe this has happened with only seven weeks of the season to go.
"It is really disappointing and I am sad for the Farsley fans who have supported them week in, week out and the players and manager (Neil Parsley), who have worked under extreme pressure this season.
"I know they have worked very hard but now all that has been taken away from them."
Farsley, who started the season on minus 10 points after entering administration, have failed to fulfil their last three fixtures.
The club are expected to reform next season in the UniBond League First Division.
