OLYMPIC megastar Jessica Ennis has paid a visit a Derbyshire wedding venue much to the delight of guests and staff.
The heptathlon gold medallist was at Shottle Hall for the wedding of her soft-tissue therapist, Derry Suter, and his bride, Sonya Freeston, who is from Chellaston.
The London 2012 star was not the only big name on their guest list – the couple were also joined by two-time world squash champion and double Commonwealth Games gold medallist Nick Matthews, of Duffield.
Derry, 46, has been part of Team Jennis, the group of dedicated professionals who have kept Jessica Ennis in top form, for 10 years.

He proposed to long-standing girlfriend Sonya, 43, two years ago but she knew she would have to wait until after London 2012 to tie the knot.
The new Mrs Suter, a substance misuse practitioner, said: "I completely understood that, for the majority of 2012, another woman was going to be a priority for Derry.
"Last summer was the culmination of four years of dedication and hard work from the whole of her team.
"One treatment from Derry can make a huge difference to these athletes.
"Jess is at the top of her game so, in the run-up to the Olympics, I understood that Derry wouldn't really be thinking about our wedding too much.
"He is passionate about what he does. That's one of the things that made me fall for him in the first place.
"Because Derry was so preoccupied, it gave me the opportunity to focus on planning our wedding."
The couple, who live in Mansfield, surprised guests with their first dance by performing a routine to I've Had the Time of My Life from the film Dirty Dancing, including the famous lift.
Derry works with a host of sporting stars, including Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday football teams, Derby County footballer Jake Buxton and former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan.
James Davis, Shottle Hall's marketing manager, said: "We have had a number of famous guests over the years – from Prince William to Colin Firth – and we pride ourselves on being discreet and professional.
"But there was undoubtedly a ripple of excitement among the staff members when they spotted Jessica Ennis."
Jessica provided signed books and photographs for the children attending the ceremony.
