PC Sarah Allcock joins police team in Heanor and Loscoe
A NEW police officer is walking the beat in Heanor and Loscoe.
PC Sarah Allcock is the latest member of the local safer neighbourhood team, joining PC Richard Martin and PCSOs Becky Davis and Emma Fisher.
PC Allcock, who got her first taste for policing as a Special Constable in Heanor in 1993, has been a police officer for 13 years.
She joined as a regular officer in 1999, starting her career at Chesterfield on the response team before moving to cover the same role at Clay Cross.
Before joining the police she worked for a company which supplied fork-lift trucks in Langley Mill.
PC Allcock has also spent 10 years working in neighbourhood policing.
She said: "I'm really enjoying working in the Heanor area, as it feels like I have come back to my policing roots.
"Since starting I have been busy getting to know the local community, working with my colleagues to target and prevent burglaries in the area. I'm also looking forward to working with the team to set up some football activities for local youngsters."
Outside of work, Sarah, who is a mum to a nine-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son, enjoys running and is a member of a local running club, taking part in 10k races.
