Pair cut free from wreckage of crash
TWO people had to be cut free after a smash on Shardlow Road in Alvaston.
Firefighters from Ascot Drive and Nottingham Road were called to a collision between a white Kia Cee'd and a black Ford Fiesta at the junction of Shardlow Road and Lindon Drive yesterday.
The driver and passenger of the Kia had to be cut free from the car after suffering from whiplash injuries just after 11.30am.
Police and paramedics were also in attendance and fire crews left the scene at just after 12.40pm.
