Pair to stand trial over death of boy
A MOTHER and a man believed to be her partner are due to stand trial at Nottingham Crown Court today accused of killing a two-year-old boy.
Riley Pettipierre, two, fell ill at his home in Kilbourne Road, Belper, on March 13 last year. He was taken to hospital but later died.
Sally Dent, 32, and Shaun Binfield, 44, both of Kilbourne Road, Belper, have pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and cruelty to a person under the age of 16, by ill treatment or neglect, between October 1, 2011, and March 14 last year.
