Palmer feels sending-off was harsh on Diamond as penalty turns game
LIKE his manager, Burton Albion winger Chris Palmer felt Burton Albion were hard done to by the penalty which saw them go 2-0 down at Wycombe Wanderers.
"I didn't think it was a penalty. It looked like the ball went across his body and they went shoulder to shoulder," said Palmer of the incident involving Wycombe's Matt McClure and Burton captain Zander Diamond.
"I definitely didn't think it was a sending-off, because Damo (Damien McCrory) was covering.
"That was difficult to take but you just have to crack on – there's not a lot you can do about it.

"We were still in the game up until the penalty.
"Everyone was disappointed that we were a goal down at half-time but we always feel in the game at 1-0. We felt we could have gone on to win the game."

“Probably a penalty but never a sending off - should appeal. Palmer I'm afraid has disappointed me in the last couple of games, should be on the bench, make a similar impact to when he came on v Plymouth. Yes we were still in the game until the penalty but we were looking poor again. Two defeats in a row, but still a long way to go this season. UTBs”
