Palmer hoping to get the nod to take on former club
BURTON Albion midfielder Chris Palmer says he is looking forward to facing his former club Gillingham tomorrow at the Pirelli Stadium.
Palmer moved to Burton on a free transfer in the summer from Gillingham after deciding it was time to move closer to his family.

Chris Palmer hopes to start.
Despite not having featured as regularly as he would have liked, Palmer believes the move back to the East Midlands was the right decision.
"I wanted to come closer to home, I made that clear to everyone at Gillingham," he said.
"That was the only reason I left. I'd not fallen out with anyone and still have a lot of friends at the club.
"It's always nice to play against a former club. I got on well with the staff, manager and all the fans so it will be nice to see everyone again.
"It's going to be an excellent game because both teams are pushing for the play-offs, but I'm confident we can win."
With Burton in ninth and the Gills a place behind, Palmer knows it's a massive game for both clubs as they look to revive their play-off hopes and he is desperate to start.
Palmer added: "I've not been playing as much as I'd have liked. I was playing all the time at Gillingham before my injury.
"I've been doing well as an impact substitute so, hopefully, I can be rewarded with a start against my former club.
"Both sides are pushing for promotion and there are some brilliant players in both teams.
"I would like to see them doing well, as I still have a lot of friends at Gillingham but, of course, not when they face Burton."
