Panel of children prepare to test out most popular toys
THE most popular toys for this Christmas will be put to the test by a team of critical children – Westfield Derby's newly appointed Panel of Fun.
Sporting lab coats and safety goggles, the group of five children, aged between seven and ten, will review and rate 18 of the most popular children's toys in a toy testing laboratory in the shopping centre.
Toy shops Entertainer and Toy Planet will present the toys which will come under one of three pricing brackets, under £20, under £50 and under £100.
The children will have time to play with each toy and review them on set criteria before rating them out of 10.

Following the testing, the Panel of Fun will announce the top children's toys for Christmas, providing all children with a 'tried and tested' Christmas list for their letters to Santa.
Westfield Derby's Panel of Fun was appointed earlier this month following interviews of over 25 children who applied for the position of Head of Fun.
Head of Fun, Molly Taylor, and the rest of the panel will make their choices on Saturday.
