SAM Pearch and Pascale Holden were named male and female club champions when Shelton Striders held their annual presentation evening.

They were the highest scorers when the results of 103 club members in 15 designated races were put together, from the Weston 5 in March to the Worksop half-marathon in October.

Winners in the club's "Headbanger" competition, for off-road races, were Judith Marriott and Shaun Cooper.

The club also hold an internal handicap competition where members aim to improve on individual times.

The two-mile series was won by Andrew Simons while Kelly Craven took the crown for the four-mile event.
