A HOUSING association which worked with the city council to bring vacant Victorian homes back into use is applying for retrospective planning permission for windows it installed.

Nottingham Community Housing Association refurbished 2, 3 and 4 Arboretum Square after Derby City Council used compulsory purchase orders to buy the long-term vacant and derelict properties.

The tight timescale for redevelopment meant the association went ahead and replaced the windows, following council guidance for the specification of sash windows in conservation areas.

However, it now needs permission to retain those windows.
