Philosophy for kids? Imagine it
CHILDREN from a Derby school joined 80 other pupils in Abbots Bromley for a day of workshops and activities aimed at encouraging them to use their imaginations.
The youngsters from the Old Vicarage School, Darley Abbey, visited Roch House Preparatory School with pupils from Leamington Spa and Newport, in Shropshire.
Activities included philosophy sessions, dance, swimming and other sports.
The day was organised by philosophy lecturer Elizabeth Mackintosh and intended to give pupils an introduction to the basic concepts.
Miss Mackintosh said: "I was delighted at the insightful responses. Boys and girls of this young age really do find philosophy a fascinating subject."
